Some programs need an internet connection to verify your license during activation.

Start by picking the mode that matches what happened to your files, then choose the drive to scan.
Deleted File Recovery: Quickly restores recently deleted files, including ones emptied from the Recycle Bin.
Deep Scan Recovery: Checks every block on the device and works for most data loss, such as deletion, formatting or RAW drives.
RAW Drive Recovery: Gets data back when a partition is missing or the drive shows up as RAW.

iCare Recovery covers the storage you are most likely to lose files from, inside or outside your PC.
USB flash drives: Recovers files from formatted, RAW or inaccessible USB drives, even ones Windows does not detect properly.
Memory cards: Works with SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, CF and XD cards from Android phones and cameras.
Hard drives: Scans internal and external hard drives connected to your PC.
800+ file types: Recovers office documents, photos, videos, audio files and emails.
File systems and BitLocker: Supports FAT, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS, plus BitLocker drives if you have the unlock key.

The program is built for drives Windows can no longer read properly, not just for deleted files.
Drive shows 0 bytes: Recovers data when a drive's file system turns RAW or shows no capacity.
Not formatted errors: Helps when Windows asks you to format a disk, card or USB drive.
chkdsk RAW errors: Retrieves files when chkdsk reports the drive as RAW.
Format and virus recovery: Restores files lost to formatting, virus attacks or inaccessible devices.
Lost partitions: Finds deleted or lost partitions and the files on them.

Recovery takes three steps: pick a mode and drive, wait for the scan, then save the files you want.
Partition view: Browse found files by partition, starting with the first one.
Preview before saving: Check found files so you only recover what you need.
Safe saving: Save recovered files to another drive or partition so nothing gets overwritten.
Portable version: Run it without installing, which avoids writing new data to the affected drive.

Yes, it is freeware for home users. Deleted File Recovery mode has no limit, while Deep Scan and RAW Drive Recovery let you recover up to 500 files every 24 hours, counted from the last time you closed the program.
Both recover the same 800+ file types and include the same recovery modes. The Pro edition adds free tech support, Windows Server support and commercial use, and lets you recover 1 GB before you activate a license.
Use Deleted File Recovery for files you recently deleted or emptied from the Recycle Bin. Deep Scan Recovery handles most other cases, such as formatted or RAW drives. Use RAW Drive Recovery when a partition is missing or the drive appears as RAW.
A Deep Scan takes about 4 to 5 minutes for a 16 GB card, about 20 minutes for 128 GB and around an hour for 1 TB. If a scan estimate runs past 100 hours, the disk may be physically damaged. You can cancel after 24 hours and still get the files found so far, but a cancelled scan cannot be resumed.
Always save them to a different partition or disk from the one you are recovering. Saving to the same drive can overwrite the files you are trying to get back.
Yes. A portable version is available, which is useful because installing software on the affected drive can overwrite lost data.
You need Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista or XP, a 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit CPU, at least 256 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended) and 100 MB of free disk space.
Yes, as long as you have the drive's BitLocker unlock key. Both editions also include a BitLocker repair option.
