Even with every privacy toggle turned off in Settings, Windows keeps collecting usage data in the background. Privacy Protector goes after the services and logs behind that.
Telemetry removal: Disables or deletes the Windows telemetry components.
DiagTrack log: Clears the diagnostics tracking log and stops it from filling up again.
Tracking services: Stops, blocks or removes over 37 services, such as Customer Experience Improvement Program and Disk Diagnostic.
Cortana data collection: Stops Cortana from collecting data in the background.
Keylogger function: Turns off the Windows feature that records typing input.
Disabled services are not always enough, so the program also blocks the servers that tracking data is sent to.
Hosts file blocking: Adds Microsoft tracking servers to the hosts file so Windows cannot reach them.
Firewall rules: Creates Windows Firewall rules that block IP addresses used for tracking.
Some updates add or turn tracking back on. These tools let you decide what gets installed and which Microsoft components keep running.
Update rollback: Removes selected Windows updates that add tracking on Windows 11, 8.1, 8 and 7.
Windows Update switch: Turns off Windows Update completely if you want full control over updates.
Office telemetry: Disables telemetry modules in Microsoft Office 2016 and can optionally block Office updates.
Windows Defender: Can turn off Defender. Only do this if you use another antivirus.
Clear out preinstalled components you do not use, including ones Windows normally won't let you uninstall.
OneDrive removal: Uninstalls OneDrive from your PC.
Bing Search: Turns off Bing results in Windows search.
Built-in apps: Removes Metro/Universal apps, including ones Windows marks as non-removable.

Privacy Protector creates a System Restore point before it changes anything, and most privacy fixes can be reverted from inside the program. Some changes cannot be reversed, even with System Restore, so read each option before you apply it.
